As human beings, we are constantly searching for what is real, the deep-seated
truth, and a path of purpose in a ocean of unexplainable existences. However, I have learned that even in a world of
objective facts, the only thing that may truly exist is genuine uncertainty. I believe that the observer and the observed
are undividable entities, and my current artwork explores the link between what we are shown and what we subjectively interpret
into reality.
The overall intention of my work is to give the viewer an opportunity to create their
own unique connections to a vivid image. Although the symbolic imagery, organic shapes, excessive contrast, and quirky spirit
may have specific meanings to me, it is within the viewer's subjective interpretation that it's reality, it's truth, it's
purpose, comes to life.
I have always found that the way we view nature scientifically and philosophically
is an interesting combination. I hope the future direction of my work allows me to explore this relationship further.
